HISTORY

5836 and 5837 both petitioned to Grand Lodge for new Lodges with titles showing their attachment to the Home Guard.  Lodge 5836 won (Middlesex Home Service Lodge) but the founders of 5837 were informed that not only would theirs be the 100th Lodge in the Province but that it had been used by that famous mason Rudyard Kipling as the fictional lodge of Faith and Works – he did not think that a Lodge with a number that high would ever be founded.

W.Bro. CHARLES E.B.HEAD. JP,PGD.PPrGSuptWks, LGR was the first Worshipful Master of the lodge in 1941/42.
